![]() This shares many of the pros and cons of the other Sorceress builds we've mentioned above. ![]() Both of the more popular Sorceress builds are incredibly good for solo play, which isn't too surprising given their strengths. Frozen Orb deals better with mobile fights, Blizzard better with more stationary ones. The only real problem with most Sorceress builds is that they can be stonewalled in the late game by Elemental Immune monsters.įrozen Orb and Blizzard play very much the same as main cold attacks, so these two builds are very similar. You'll also use Blizzard to do relatively safe damage. As a Sorceress, you have Teleport without needing to get top-of-the-line gear. That said, we still think it's among the best for Hardcore play because you get to attack from relative safety and have lighting skills that will serve you well throughout the game without needing top-tier gear.īlizzard Sorceress is one of the favorite cookie-cutter builds in Diablo II: Resurrected. This version of the Javazon drops a bit down the list because it does take a bit longer to really bring the build online. Plus, she can readily switch between caster and melee combat, making her a fun Hardcore class. She isn't as safe as the Summoners, but her survivability is still high. It's such a versatile build that lets you clear so much content. If the Summoning classes are the best Hardcore builds, LIghtning Trapsin is right behind. This is a lifesaver with single-target bosses with no possible adds around. The Druid has fewer possible summons available than Summonmancers, but doesn't need raw materials other than mana to replace lost minions. With high-level gear, this is a build that can handle everything from single-target bosses to AoE-style rodeos, even taking on Ubers solo. With powerful synergies among the summons, a pure Summoner build putting all points into summoned animals and spirits can be a powerhouse from level one. Add to this major changes to the Ravens spell, increasing its damage, effectiveness, and duration, and it's created a class fantasy that Druids have been begging for: a lone Druid surrounded by summoned animals, taking on the world. Let's start with this enormous change right away: Druids can now have Spirit Wolves, Dire Wolves, and Grizzly all summoned simultaneously. Sadly, his farm speed makes it rough to really grab great gear with him, but he'll make your road to Guardian much easier. With all of his minions taking damage, all you have to do is sit back and rake in that sweet gear. He's not going to kill anything super quickly, but his slow and steady playstyle makes him an excellent Hardcore character. The Summonmancer is a bit like the tortoise in that famous children's fable. Just a classic build that will certainly get the job done across all three difficulties. The build does great damage, has incredible survivability, and good movement speed. It's not that you can't die with these builds, but your chances of death are much lower than some of the other caster classes.Įverybody loves a Hammerdin and for good reason. The characters in this tier are a mix of great damage dealers, easy to gear builds, and exceptional survivability. If you have the gear, they become excellent classes for the mode. So, even though a Whirlwind Barb or a Werebear Druid has great survivability, they're not going to be on this tier list. Melee characters just need better gear to really be viable. If you do, more builds become even more viable, but without that gear, some builds are tough to bring online efficiently.įor this reason, you're going to see mostly caster classes pop up at the top of the list. Below, we'll provide what we think are the best builds for Hardcore, though it's important to note that this list assumes you don't have any gear from another Hardcore character. If you're looking to take on this additional level of difficulty, you'll be rewarded with exclusive titles for finishing each difficultly. That includes the option to make a Hardcore character who must play through the game with a single life. ![]() Diablo II Resurrected brings back most of the content players know and love from the original release.
